Consistent lounge experience

I booked the Gatwick North No1 Lounge again for my trip last month. It's my third time using them, and they've been consistently good. The booking process was smooth as usual, and the lounge itself was clean, not too crowded. The food selection was pretty much what I expected, nothing new but reliable. It's why I keep coming back.

Easy airport lounge

Needed a place to chill before my flight from Heathrow T3, so I booked the Club Aspire. It was super easy online. Got there, showed my booking, and walked right in. Had some breakfast and coffee, flipped through a magazine. Way better than sitting at the gate. Made the wait a lot less stressful, honestly.

Good value, minor snag

I decided to try the Birmingham No1 Lounge for a recent early morning flight. Booking online was straightforward, found the lounge easily enough in the airport. The check-in staff were quick and friendly. I liked the hot breakfast options, which were replenished regularly, and the complimentary Wi-Fi worked well for catching up on emails. I did upgrade to a Champagne, which was a nice touch. My only small issue was that it was a bit noisy near the main entrance when a large group came in, but that settled down. Overall, for the price I paid, it offered good value and a much more comfortable start to my journey than waiting in the general terminal.

Does No1 Lounges offer any kind of discount for students? Trying to save a few quid on my trip.

C Cody Vargas 1 month ago
Yeah, I'm pretty sure they do. I saw something about it when I was booking last year, might be worth checking their site or Unidays.

They did have one, I think it was like 10% or so. Check their main discounts page, it's usually listed there along with the NHS and Blue Light ones.

Can I use my Priority Pass to get into the No1 Lounges? Or do I have to book separately?

D Dana H. 1 month ago
You usually can use Priority Pass for entry, but you can't combine it with a discount code if you're booking online. It's one or the other.

Yeah, I've used my PP for No1 lounges before. Just show your card at reception. Don't try to apply a discount code if you're going that route though, it won't work.

Anyone know how long you can actually stay in the lounge? My flight is delayed a lot and I'm worried about being kicked out.

R Ryan Marsh 1 month ago
Typically it's 3 hours, but if your flight is delayed, they're usually pretty understanding. I've stayed longer when my flight was pushed back significantly.

I think the standard booking is for 3 hours, but if there's a genuine delay, they don't usually boot you. Just let them know at reception.

My flight is super early, like 6 AM. Will they still have hot food available in the No1 Lounge at that time?

N Noor 1 month ago
Yep! They usually start serving breakfast items pretty early. Full hot breakfast should be available.

Yeah, pretty sure they do. I've been in there for a 7 AM flight and there was plenty of hot food out, like bacon and eggs.

Hey, thinking of booking the Gatwick North lounge for a trip next month. Anyone know if they actually enforce the dress code? Like, will I get turned away in nice shorts and a t-shirt?

S Shane 2 months ago
Nah, I've seen people in pretty casual stuff. As long as it's not like, beachwear or super scruffy, you should be fine. I wore smart-ish trainers last time and it was no issue.

They're usually pretty relaxed. It's more about not being disruptive I think. Just avoid anything too revealing or athletic gear and you'll be grand.
